Gene Parks Annual 5K Walk/Run
The event takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Russiaville, IN (555 N Liberty, 46979). It includes the following race options:
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- 5K
- Double Play - 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk & 5K
Listed entry fees are $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, $25 for the 5K, and $30 for the Double Play entry. Prices increase after April 10, 2026.
Logistics and race details
Registration can be completed in advance or on race day. Pre-registration is recommended to assure receipt of a towel; towels are otherwise distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Sign-ins occur on race day at the Russiaville Lions Club at 555 North Liberty. Parking is available at the Jeff Stout Community Center; participants walk to the Lions Club for registration and the start area.
All runners in the Fun Run ages 12 and under will receive a medal. The course heads south of Russiaville and then returns. The event partners with Ainsley’s Angels of America; all funds from the Fun Run will benefit that organization. The organizer notes that all riders ride free in both races.
