10th Annual Geisinger Marworth Recovery Fun Run
The event takes place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, Olive Street trailhead, 3 West Olive Street, Scranton, PA 18508. It offers in-person and virtual options to accommodate participants who cannot attend on site.

- 5K Run (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Walk
- Virtual 5K Run
- Virtual 1 Mile Walk
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes September 24, 2026. The pre-registration fee is $25 if completed by September 24. A day-of registration fee is $30 and includes a t-shirt while supplies last.
Race proceeds benefit the Geisinger Marworth Therapeutic Activities Fund. That fund supports therapeutic recreation programs and facilities to help patients experience healthy leisure and develop sober social skills that support recovery after discharge from treatment.
Awards will be given as medals to the top male and female overall and to male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. A prize raffle will be held and winners will be drawn at the conclusion of the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
