GEF Run for Fun 5K and GPS Community Fiesta
The GEF Run for Fun 5K & 1-Mile Run/Walk and GPS Community Fiesta is presented by the Gilbert Education Foundation and Gilbert Public Schools. The event takes place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Campo Verde High School on South Quartz Street in Gilbert, Arizona.
Proceeds from the run support health and enrichment programs for Gilbert Public Schools students and staff.
The Community Fiesta
A community fiesta begins immediately after the race and continues until 12:00 PM. The fiesta includes a live DJ, food trucks, arts and crafts, family games and prizes, and a mascot race.
Participant Information
The event offers two race distances.
- A 5K run.
- A 1 mile run/walk.
All participants receive a custom event dri-fit tech t-shirt and a custom finisher's medal. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K. The event is walker-friendly and welcomes wheelchairs and strollers. No roller blades, skateboards, motorized devices, or pets are allowed on the course.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Cadence Running Company in Gilbert, or on race day at the venue starting at 7:30 AM. Race day registration is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
