Event Overview
The 2026 Creighton University Make-A-Wish 5K is a 5 km run and walk in Phoenix, Arizona. It is the 3rd annual event organized by Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The event takes place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Papago Park on the 5K Fitness Trail. The location for check-in and the start and finish area is the West Buttes Parking Lot at 625 N Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, AZ 85008.
There are different registration categories, including General Registration, Creighton Students, and Make-A-Wish Families/Kids.
Course and Facilities
The course follows the designated Papago Park 5K Fitness Trail loop, starting and ending at the West Buttes Parking Lot. It is a well-groomed dirt trail with some paved sections. One water station is placed about halfway through the course.
Parking is available at the West Buttes Parking Lot, with overflow parking at the nearby zoo parking lot across Galvin Parkway. ADA-accessible portable toilets are located in the start and finish area.
Each participant receives a race t-shirt, a goodie bag, and one free raffle entry for prizes from local businesses. After the race, there are snacks, drinks, prizes for top finishers, and raffle items. Registrations after February 1, 2026, are not guaranteed the preferred shirt size.
