GCHS Turkey Trot : Geisinger College of Health Sciences
Geisinger College of Health Sciences presents the 17th annual Turkey Trot in Scranton. The event includes organized 5K and 10K races held on November 15, and proceeds support Family to Family, a movement that provides Thanksgiving dinners to hundreds of members of the Scranton community. Family to Family is organized by Friends of the Poor and the Catherine McAuley Center, and is supported by a fund of the Scranton Area Community Foundation.
The event location is 525 Pine Street, Scranton, PA 18510. All participants receive a complementary t-shirt. A Tiny Trot Fun Zone offers crafts and activities for children.
Registration information and fees are:
- 5K : $30, includes a T-shirt.
- 10K : $40, includes a T-shirt. Children 12 and under may participate for free.
Results are announced after the races. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers in each race, and to the top male and female in the following age categories: 0–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, and 60 and over.
