GCHS Turkey Trot
Geisinger College of Health Sciences presents its 17th annual Turkey Trot in Scranton at 525 Pine Street, Scranton, PA 18510. The event features timed road races with two distances and a Tiny Trot Fun Zone offering crafts and activities for children.
Registration opens 8/7/2026 12:00 and closes 11/13/2026 12:00. Registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K; children 12 and under are free. The first 120 pre-registered participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt; after that, t-shirts will be available for purchase on race day.
The Turkey Trot benefits Family to Family, a program that provides Thanksgiving dinners to members of the Scranton community, organized by Friends of the Poor and the Catherine McAuley Center and supported by a fund of the Scranton Area Community Foundation.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers in each race and to the top male and female in the following age categories: 0 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over.
