Run For The Water - Austin
Run For The Water is an annual fundraising road race organized by the Gazelle Foundation in downtown Austin. The event on November 8, 2026 supports the foundation's work to fund and build water systems in Burundi, where access to clean water affects health, education, jobs, and community wellbeing. The event is presented as a fundraising event with 100% of event proceeds directed back toward the mission.
The course travels from downtown toward Tarrytown, moving from hilly sections to waterfront areas and finishing on a flat segment. The 10 mile distance includes an automatic Hill Challenge that times a 600 meter segment for all 10 mile participants; winners are recognized at the event's Winner’s Circle.

- 10 Miler includes automatic 600 meter Hill Challenge segment
- 5K run through the west Austin course
- Kids 1K for young participants
- Global Virtual Run that can be completed remotely
For about two decades the race has taken place each November and draws over 5,000 runners and walkers. The Global Run option allows participation from any location and can be completed beginning one week prior to race day.
