Gaylord Alpenfest Run
The Gaylord Alpenfest Run is a sports event held in Michigan. The race features multiple distances and takes place on the North Central State Trail. Participants follow an out and back course that begins and finishes at the Gaylord Trailhead on Main Street. The routes provide aid stations located at the turnaround points for the longer distances.
The available distances for this event include:
- 10k (6.2 Miles)
- 5k (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is a non-timed and non-competitive option. Participants in this specific distance do not receive a medal or a t-shirt. For the paid distances, medals and t-shirts are guaranteed to the first 300 registrants. While participant times for the 5k and 10k are recorded and posted, there are no options for refunds, deferrals, or transfers of registration fees.
The event utilizes the Gaylord Trailhead pavilion for operations, including packet pickup. Local traffic is impacted by the Alpenfest celebrations, specifically on Main Street, which is closed for a parade following the conclusion of the running events.
