Gaylord All Outdoors Tri 45 USA Triathlon Winter Nationals
This USA Triathlon Winter National Championship takes place in early March 2027 at Forbush Corners, 4971 W Co Rd 612, Frederic, Michigan. The event spans multiple race formats and includes national championship status for winter triathlon disciplines.
Race options and distances include:
- Triathlon: 20K total, USA Triathlon format with 5k run, 10k bike, 5k ski
- Duathlon: 10K total with run and ski
- National Double: combined Triathlon and Duathlon, 30K total
- Adaptive Triathlon: 20K for athletes with physical or visual impairments
- Adaptive Duathlon: 10K adaptive division
Adaptive divisions are open to athletes who cannot or choose not to be classified into Championship Paratriathlon categories and to athletes who race with different equipment or with a guide of a different gender. Ski trails are groomed for both freestyle and classic techniques and both styles compete together. Fat tire bikes must use tires at least 3.8 inches wide and spikes are permitted.
Registration includes a pasta dinner on March 5, a custom finisher medal, a race shirt, warm post race snacks and hot drinks, professional timing, a transition area aid station, and event photography. Awards include overall and age group prizes, with age group eligibility requiring a USA Triathlon passport. The event is non refundable. If conditions are unsafe course distances or layouts may be adjusted and if no skiable snow the triathlon will use a Run, Bike, Run format and the duathlon will be a 10k run.
