The Gator Festival 5K takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Lake Waccamaw, NC. The event program includes these options:
- 5K Walk/Run
- Gator Dash - 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual 5K
Listed entry fees are $25 for the 5K Walk/Run, $18 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, and $25 for the Virtual 5K. The 1 Mile Fun Run and Virtual 5K have a price increase after December 31, 2025. All registration for the 5K must be completed online. A race shirt is available for participants who register by March 26 to guarantee a tee. A race medal is also offered. Packet pick up (bib and shirt) is scheduled on race day, and awards and a post-race celebration will take place at the finish area. Group or team registration is encouraged.
Location and logistics
The event is based at Elizabeth Brinkley Park, 90 Bald Cypress Cir, Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450. Organizers ask attendees to enter the park from Highway 214 (Sam Potts Highway) and turn onto Bald Cypress Circle to reach the parking area. Bald Cypress Circle becomes Columbia Ave at the large curve; Columbia Ave will be closed from that curve to Schley Ave, and there will be no parking access from Columbia Ave. A course map and parking/location map are provided by the organizers.
