Gaspee Days 5k Road Race

The Gaspee Days 5k Road Race is held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 in Cranston, Rhode Island, with the event area listed at 2052 Broad Street. The event is a 5K (3.1 miles) road course that runs south on Broad Street into Warwick, continues onto Narragansett Parkway, turns at General Hawkins Drive, and returns north to finish just past the parade reviewing stand at Rhodes Place. The course was bicycle calibrated and official timing and results are coordinated by Spitler Race Systems.

The race directly precedes the Gaspee Days Parade into Pawtuxet Village, and all proceeds benefit the Gaspee Days Parade. The event is capped at 2,000 participants and enforces a strict one-hour cut-off for completion of the 5K. There will be no race-day entries; all registrations must be completed in advance.

Pre-race bib pick-up is scheduled at the Aspray Boat House on Wednesday, June 10; a morning check-in for bibs is available at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center before the race. Complimentary post-race refreshments are provided for all runners; runners aged 21 and over receive one complimentary beer in a fenced refreshments area with ID verification. Portable restrooms are provided for participants only. Strollers, baby carriers, and pets are prohibited in the race area.

Prizes include cash awards for the top five overall finishers and age-group prizes with a $50 award for first in each bracket; a $100 bonus is offered for new course records. An award is also given for Best Colonial Running attire. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
