Event overview
Gaspee Days 5k Foot Race is a 5K (3.1 miles) road race held in Cranston, RI on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The race starts on Broad Street at Chiswick Road, runs south on Broad Street into Warwick onto Narragansett Parkway, turns at General Hawkins Drive, and returns north to finish just past the parade reviewing stand at Rhodes Place. The course was bicycle calibrated and timing and results are handled by Spitler Race Systems. Proceeds support the annual Gaspee Days Parade. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Gaspee Days.
Logistics and prizes
Entry fee is listed at $30 and the field is capped at 2,000 participants. There is a strict one-hour cut-off to complete the 5K. No race-day registrations are allowed; all registrations must be completed by the Friday before the race. Pre-race bib pick-up is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Aspray Boat House. Morning bib check-in is available at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center; bib pick-up closes at 9:00 AM.
Cash prizes are offered: grand prizes for top overall finishers and cash awards for age-group first-place finishers. An additional cash prize is available for new course records. Complimentary post-race refreshments are provided to runners; one complimentary beer is available to runners aged 21 and over in the designated refreshments area (beer service ends at 11:00 AM). Portable restrooms are provided. Strollers, baby carriers, and pets are prohibited; showers, changing, and storage areas are not available. Limited parking is noted.
