About the race
The Garden of Reflection 5K and 10K is a remembrance run held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the Garden of Reflection Memorial in Lower Makefield, PA. The event marks the 25th remembrance of 9/11 and takes place around the memorial that bears the names of those lost. Participants include in-person runners and walkers, plus a virtual RUN to REMEMBER option for remote participation.
Courses start and finish on Garden of Reflection property and use local neighborhood streets. The overall layout is relatively flat with some rolling hills; the 1-mile course remains entirely on park property. The 10K is a new distance for 2026 and, due to course regulations, 10K participants must be runners or run/walkers and finish within 90 minutes.

All participants registered by September 11 will be eligible for a commemorative 25th-anniversary race shirt; medals will be provided to all participants for 2026. The virtual option runs from September 18 to September 21 and allows running or walking measured distances anywhere; virtual shirts are mailed or available at packet pick-up where noted. Awards are given by division after the race; winners must be present to receive awards and awards will not be mailed.
