Garden of Reflection 5K (9/11 Memorial Race)
The Garden of Reflection event is a remembrance road race held at the Garden of Reflection Memorial in Lower Makefield, Pennsylvania. The event raises funds for an endowment to preserve the memorial. It marks the 25th commemoration of 9/11 and includes both in-person and virtual participation options.
Distance options include:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 mile course on memorial property
- Virtual challenge with flexible distance options
Courses start and end on the Garden of Reflection property and use local neighborhood streets. The 1 mile course remains entirely on the memorial property. The 5K course is slightly modified for 2026 to include more distance on park property. The 5K and 10K courses include some rolling hills; overall the routes take place within the park and nearby streets.
Entry fees vary by distance and registration period. Early registration rates apply May 1 through May 31. Pre-registration rates apply beginning June 1 through the pre-race online deadline; higher fees apply thereafter and on race day. The virtual option runs from September 18 through September 21 and allows participation from any location; virtual participants are eligible for random-draw prizes.
All participants registered by September 11 will receive the custom 2026 race shirt if available. New for 2026, all participants will receive a custom race medal and ribbon. Awards are given to top overall finishers and to top finishers in standard age groups; awards are presented after the race and are not mailed.
