Galtymore Uphill
The event is an uphill mountain race to the top of Galty Mór, listed for County Tipperary. The course covers approximately 6.00 km with about 750 m of ascent. The terrain is described as open mountain and rugged.
The route is not marked and GPS is not allowed. The event is part of the Munster Uphill League. A short course is not listed.
Mandatory kit is Level B standard and must be carried as required. Required items include a waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or bivvy bag. Organisers will finalise the exact kit to be carried on the day and may carry out random checks; failure to have required items may lead to denial of entry or disqualification.
The race starts from Kings yard, Knocknagalty, Kilbehenny, County Limerick, with registration and prizegiving also at that location.
