Galty Crossing
Galty Crossing is a mountain running event in County Tipperary scheduled for Saturday 6 June 2026. The course distance is 32.00 km with approximately 1500 m of climb. The event is classified as difficulty 10 (Extreme), indicating more than 1,000 m ascent or over 30 km. The route is not marked and GPS use is allowed.
Mandatory kit is Level C - Advanced. Required items listed for the event include a waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, a foil blanket or bivvy bag, waterproof full leg cover, a means to carry at least 500 mL of water, emergency food, a map of the route or area, and a compass.
