Reindeer Run 5K/10K - Buford
The Reindeer Run takes place in Historic Buford on December 19 and offers multiple ways for participants to run or walk in a holiday-themed setting.
Event distances include:
- 5K (one loop)
- 10K (two loops)
- 1-mile Fun Run
- Half marathon
- Virtual race option
Every in-person participant receives a custom finisher award created for the event, and the Fun Run includes a finisher medal. Competitive awards will recognize the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups, beginning with 10 and under and continuing through older age groups.
Course details note that the route is in North Georgia and is described as relatively flat for the area. The 5K is a single loop and the 10K covers the same loop twice. Self-serve water stations will be available approximately every 1.5 miles; participants who prefer uninterrupted running are advised to plan personal hydration accordingly.
Registration tiers and deadlines apply, and participants registered by December 9 are guaranteed race apparel in their size; afterwards apparel is available while supplies last. The event also supports a virtual race option that allows participants to complete their chosen distance off-site and submit results online to be included in event results.
