About the race
Fyvie Castle 5k and Fun Run is a community event at Fyvie Castle in Turriff on 20 September 2026. The event is held in conjunction with the Fyvie Parent Council to raise school funds. Races offered include a 5 km multi terrain run and two trail fun runs for younger participants. Finishers medals will be awarded in all races.
Prizes are listed for the first boy and first girl in the 800 m and 1600 m races, and first, second and third male and female in the 5 km. Several races use chip timing. Registration closes 11 September 2026. Entry costs listed for the event are: 5 km £11, 1600 m £6, and 800 m £4. Additional notes from the organiser: under 5s in the 800 m must be accompanied; the 1600 m is aimed at primary school age to 14 years; the 5 km is open to those over 5, with under 11s required to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The 800 m takes place on trail ground and may not be suitable for some buggies. Fyvie Castle will offer tea, coffee, bacon rolls, and ice cream from the tea room and shop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
