FYMO's 7th Giving to Live 5K Cancer Run/Walk
The Fashion Your Mind Organization hosts the seventh edition of this community event at Almaden Lake Park in San Jose. The event takes place along the Los Alamitos Creek Trail and is organized as a non-competitive run and walk to support individuals affected by cancer. All proceeds are used to assist local and regional cancer patients with medication costs, living expenses, transportation, and home care.
The event features the following distances:
- 5 km run
- 5 km walk
- Kid’s Fun Run (for children aged 10 and under)
The venue includes a Wellness Expo featuring vendor booths that offer free health screenings, information, and samples. Additional activities on-site include live music, complimentary massages, and mini facials. Registered participants receive a T-shirt and a swag bag while supplies last. Children participating in the Fun Run receive a youth-sized T-shirt, a craft activity, and a finisher's prize.
Recognition is given to the first-place male and female finishers of the 5 km, and the top five runners overall are recognized. The event also provides awards for individual and team fundraising efforts. Raffle drawings and family-oriented entertainment are held throughout the morning at the park.
