The Funky Monkey
The Funky Monkey running festival takes place on August 1, 2027 at the Seekonk YMCA in Seekonk, MA.
Event distances include:
- Half marathon
- 10k
- 5k
The 5k and 10k courses are described as flat and fast. The half marathon is certified and is mostly flat for the first five miles and the final two miles, with small rolling hills between those sections.
The race will be chip timed. There is a four hour time limit for the half marathon.
Aid and facilities are provided along each course. There is one water stop on the 5k, two on the 10k, and eight on the half marathon. Water is available only at the water stops and some stops will be grab and go. Porta potties are placed on the half marathon course at miles 4 and 8. Some Covid restrictions remain in place.
All participants will receive a medal. Online registrants who register by 7-20-2027 will receive a t shirt and a finisher's medal. Age group awards apply to the half marathon only, and overall winners receive a plaque. Packet pick up is available on Saturday 7-31-2027 at the Seekonk YMCA and on race day at the venue.
