FUNKY MONKEY running festival
The FUNKY MONKEY running festival takes place on August 2, 2026, at the Seekonk YMCA in Seekonk, MA. The event features three distances and a certified half marathon course. The races are chip timed and the half marathon has a four hour time limit.

The 5k and 10k courses are described as flat. The half marathon is mostly flat for the first 5 miles and the final 2 miles, with small rolling hills between those sections. The half marathon course is certified.
On-course support and logistics
There will be water stops as follows: one on the 5k, two on the 10k, and eight on the half marathon. Water will be available only at the water stops, and some stops will be grab-and-go. Porta potties are provided on the half marathon course at miles 4 and 8. Packet pick up is race day only. Some Covid restrictions remain in place.
Awards and extras
All participants receive a medal. Online registrants will receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. Age-group awards apply to the half marathon only, and overall winners receive a plaque. Course maps are provided for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
