The FUNKY MONKEY
The FUNKY MONKEY running festival takes place on August 2, 2026 at the Seekonk YMCA in Seekonk, MA. The event offers three distances: a half marathon, a 10k and a 5k.

The 5k and 10k courses are described as flat and fast. The half marathon course is certified and is mostly flat for the first five miles and the final two miles, with small rolling hills in the middle section. There is a four hour time limit for the half marathon.
Timing is electronic with chip timing. All online registrants receive a t-shirt and a finishers medal; all participants receive a medal. Age group awards apply to the half marathon only, and overall winners receive a plaque. Packet pickup is race day only.
Course support includes one water stop on the 5k, two water stops on the 10k, and eight water stops on the half marathon. Water is provided only at the designated stops and some stops will be grab and go. Porta potties are provided on the half marathon at miles 4 and 8. Some Covid restrictions remain in place.
