The FUNKY MONKEY
The FUNKY MONKEY running festival is scheduled for August 2, 2026 at the Seekonk YMCA in Seekonk, MA. The event includes multiple distances:
- Half marathon
- 10k
- 5k
The 5k and 10k courses are described as flat and fast. The half marathon is mostly flat for the first five miles and the final two miles, with small rolling hills in the middle section. The half marathon course is certified.
Timing and race services are coordinated with chip timing. There is a four hour time limit for the half marathon. Water stations are provided as follows: one on the 5k, two on the 10k, and eight on the half marathon. Water will be available only at those stations and some stations will be grab and go. Porta potties will be located on the half marathon course at miles 4 and 8. All participants will receive a medal. Online registrants who sign up by the deadline of July 20, 2026 at 6:00 am will receive a t shirt and a finisher medal. Age group awards apply to the half marathon only, and overall winners will receive a plaque.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026 at the Seekonk YMCA and on race day at the venue. Course maps are provided for each distance. Some COVID restrictions remain in place. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
