Crescent Moon Chase : event overview
The Crescent Moon Chase takes place on February 22, 2026, at Claremont Beach in Long Beach, California. The event offers four distances:

Course and on-course support
Courses are out-and-back routes run on the beach path. The path is an open course shared with other users; runners are asked to keep to the right side for pedestrians, while cyclists use the left. Turns are marked with chalk, a runner turn sign, and a flag. A fully stocked water station is located at the Belmont Pier. The finish area includes an aid station with water, gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. First aid kits are available at each station and crew members have CPR training.
Logistics and final details
Early bib pick-up is available at Sports Basement Long Beach. Race-day bib pick-up and registration are provided on site. Participants may leave personal items at the registration tent; bags are not supplied. All finishers receive a medal, and overall first place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. Race results and photos are sent by email the day after the event and posted earlier on social media. Parking in the nearby lot is metered at $2 per hour; street parking is free.
