Coastal Love Chase – Long Beach beach races
The event takes place at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Ave, Long Beach, CA 90803. Multiple distances are offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 Miles
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
Courses are out-and-back using two mapped routes: a 5k route and a 5 mile route. The 5k course is used for the 5K (one lap) and the 10K (two laps). The 10 mile course uses the 5 mile route twice. The half marathon combines two laps of the 5 mile route and one lap of the 5k route. The beach path is an open course; runners are asked to stay on the right side of the path while cyclists use the left side.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station and a finish-line aid station with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. Each aid station carries a first aid kit and all crew members have received CPR training. Course turns are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags.
Logistics: bibs should be worn on the front of the shirt for timing and photos. Gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. All finishers receive a race medal; overall first place male and female awards are given in each distance. Results and race photos are sent the day after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
