FTC Summer Track Meet
The FTC Summer Track Meet is an all-you-can-race event held at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida. Participants have the opportunity to compete in a variety of track distances throughout the evening. The event is open to individuals of all ages and abilities, and registration allows participants to enter as many heats as they choose.
The schedule includes several traditional track distances and relay formats:
- 100m
- 200m
- 400m
- 800m
- 1600m
- 5000m
- 4 x 400m relay
- Kids 100m
- Donut Mile
Specific activities are tailored for different age groups. A Kids 100 meter dash is available for children aged 10 and under, and they do not need to register specifically for this event. The Donut Mile is restricted to participants aged 18 and older, with donuts provided by the Florida Track Club.
The meet is organized by the Florida Track Club. Entry is free for club members and children under the age of 18, while a registration fee applies to non-member adults.
