Fort Huachuca Thanksgiving Run
The Fort Huachuca Turkey Trot is an annual running event held on Thanksgiving Day at the Eifler Sports Plaza in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. This community athletic gathering provides a morning of physical activity before holiday celebrations. The event includes two distinct distances to accommodate different age groups and interests:
- 5 km Turkey Trot
- 1 mile (approximately 2 km) Kids Fun Run
The schedule is organized so that the shorter youth distance is completed before the main 5 km run begins. Participants who register early are eligible for specific amenities, as commemorative T-shirts are reserved for the first 50 runners who sign up for the event.
Because the race takes place on a military installation, specific access requirements are in effect for all participants. Runners and spectators must obtain an installation access pass before the day of the race. These passes are issued at the visitor center located at the Van Deman Gate during their standard weekday operating hours.
Packet pickup is organized over two days at the Barnes Field House. Participants can collect their materials on the day before the race or during a brief window on the morning of the event.
