Event overview
The Frosty 5K takes place on January 24, 2026 in Frame Park, Waukesha, WI 53186. The event includes multiple race options: a 5K run, a 1.75-mile walk, a 1K Kiddo's Race (open to ages 10 and under), and a new 5K Ruck division. Standard registration fees for the main events are listed at $32.50; the Kiddo's Race is free. Prices increase after December 5, 2025. Everyone registered by noon Friday, January 9 is guaranteed a custom cotton unisex Frosty 5K T-shirt; shirts after that date are available while supplies last.
Course and logistics
The 5K course uses paved trails in Frame Park and consists of two laps around the Fox River. To accommodate a shared start and finish line, the 5K course is slightly longer - about 5.5 km (3.4 miles). Walkers complete one lap. There is one on-course aid station located at the finish area that provides water; runners pass it about 1.2 miles into the run. The race is chip timed with a chip start; timing begins and ends when a participant crosses the timing line.
Awards and other information
All participants receive a finisher woodle. Top three male and female finishers in 5-year age groups receive a custom woodle. The 5K Ruck division is timed but not competitive and has no age group awards; ruckers receive a finisher woodle. Dogs are not allowed in Frame Park per local ordinance.
