- 5K
- Walk - 1.75 miles
- 1K Kiddo's Race (open to ages 10 and under)
- 5K Ruck
Entry fees listed by the organizer are $35 for the 5K, Walk, and 5K Ruck; the Kiddo's Race is free. The event is part of the Waukesha JanBoree and the Chilly Willy Winter Run Series. Dogs are not allowed in Frame Park per city ordinance.
Course and logistics
The 5K course uses paved trails around the Fox River in Frame Park and is a two-lap route. To accommodate a shared start/finish area, the 5K course is slightly longer than a standard 5K, about 5.5 km (3.4 miles). Walkers complete one lap. There is one aid station at the finish-line area that provides water; runners pass it at about 1.2 miles into their run.
Packet pick-up is at the Schuetze Rec Center in Frame Park; organizers will scan the QR code on the emailed receipt. Participants registered by noon Friday, January 9 are guaranteed a custom cotton unisex Frosty 5K T-shirt; additional shirts are available while supplies last.
Timing, awards, and policies
The event is chip timed with a chip start. All finishers receive a finisher woodle; the top three male and female finishers in 5-year age groups receive a custom woodle. The Average Joe & Jane awards recognize the male and female finishers in the exact middle of the field. Ruck divisions are timed but have no age-group awards; ruckers receive a finisher woodle. The organizer has a no-refund policy. The charity partner is Silver Circle Foundation, Inc. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
