Frostick Chili Trot and Chili Cook-Off
The event takes place at Frostick Elementary in Croswell, Michigan and combines a community run/walk with a chili cook-off in the school cafeteria. The running portion is a fun run of 2 miles that starts at the front of Frostick Elementary, follows the sidewalk on Howard, turns right on Sanborn to the trail by the duck pond, follows the bike path along M-90, then returns on the sidewalk on Howard back to the school. The run/walk will not be officially timed, though a clock will be available at the finish so participants can see their time.
All participants receive a wristband for free entry to the Chili Cook Off to sample chili. The first 60 registered participants will receive either a winter hat or a headband. Chili entries are judged and the top three receive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies. There is a $5 fee at the door for people who wish to sample chili but are not race participants.
Registration opens 8/10/2026 and closes 11/6/2026. The registration fee is $15 per event, and registering four or more people triggers an automatic $5 discount. Packet pick-up is available on race day and same-day registration is allowed, though the hat/headband giveaway is not guaranteed.
