Frostick Chili Trot and Chili Cook-Off
The Frostick Chili Trot and Chili Cook-Off takes place on November 8, 2026, at Frostick Elementary in Croswell, Michigan (57 S. Howard Ave). The event combines a community run/walk and an indoor chili cook-off in the school cafeteria.
The running component is a fun run for participants who may run or walk the 2 miles course. The course starts at the front of Frostick Elementary, follows the sidewalk on Howard, turns right on Sanborn to the trail by the duck pond, continues along the bike path beside M-90, then returns on the sidewalk on Howard back to the school. The run is not officially timed, but a clock will be visible at the finish so each person can see their time.
The Chili Cook-Off offers tasting in the Frostick Elementary Cafeteria. All registered participants receive a wristband for free entry to sample the chili and may vote for their top three favorites. Non-race attendees may sample chili for a $5 fee collected at the door. Trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third place, and winners will be announced at the conclusion of the cook-off.
Registration fee is $15. Registration opens August 10, 2026 and closes November 6, 2026. An automatic $5 discount applies for groups of four or more. The first 100 registered participants receive a winter hat or headband; same-day registration is available but the hat or headband is not guaranteed. Packet pick-up is available on race day.
