Frostick Chili Trot and Chili Cook-Off
The Frostick Chili Trot and Chili Cook-Off takes place on November 8, 2026 at Frostick Elementary in Croswell, Michigan (57 S. Howard Ave). The event combines a community run/walk and a separate chili cook-off in the school cafeteria.
The run/walk covers 2 miles. The route starts at the front of Frostick Elementary, follows the sidewalk on Howard, turns right on Sanborn to the trail by the duck pond, continues along the bike path beside M-90, then returns on the Howard sidewalk to the school. The run is organized as a fun run and will not be officially timed; a clock will be available at the finish so participants can view their time.
Registration for the run and for chili cook-off participation opens on 08/10/2026 and closes on 11/06/2026. The listed registration fee is $15. Registering four or more people gives an automatic $5 discount. The first 100 registered participants receive a winter hat or headband. All registered participants receive a wristband for free entry to sample chili. Same day registration is available but the hat or headband giveaway is not guaranteed for same day registrants. Non-race attendees who wish to sample chili pay a $5 sampling fee collected at the door.
Parking is available at Frostick Elementary and at Geiger. Winners of the chili cook-off receive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
