Event Overview
The Front Royal Kiwanis 5K is scheduled for a Saturday in mid-May. The event supports Warren County Special Olympics.
Course Details
The race is a measured 5 km (3.1 mile) route. The course follows paved roads through the northwestern part of Front Royal, Virginia, and includes the grounds of Randolph-Macon Academy. The first mile is described as downhill or flat, the second mile is mostly uphill, and the final 1.1 miles are rolling terrain.
Location and Registration
The start and finish are at the Warren County Health & Human Services Complex, the former 15th Street School. Race day registration is available in the east parking lot.
Awards and Fees
Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, and to the top three finishers in various age groups from 14 & under to 60 & over. The standard entry fee is $15 without a t-shirt. On race day, the fee increases to $20. A t-shirt can be added for an additional $14, bringing the total to $29 if pre-ordered by a specified date in late April.
