The route is hilly, with organizers noting roughly 1,400 ft of elevation gain per 6-mile loop; the 5K modified loop is listed with about 600 ft of elevation gain. The course includes a section up Old Baldy Mountain and features climbs and descents.
A water-carrying system is required for all events; 32 oz is recommended and the race is operated as a no-cup event. Aid stations are provided with hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice, and ice. The main aid station is at the start/finish area (mile 0 and mile 6) with road and crew access and allows drop bags; the Baldy aid station (mile 2.82) has no road or crew access.
On-site camping is available at park campgrounds adjacent to the start/finish area; campsites are listed at $20–$35 per night and include restrooms and showers. Race gear and awards include a tri-blend shirt, finisher medals, first-place trophies, a 10K ruck patch, and distance-specific awards for the 50K.
