Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run : Edmonton, September 13, 2026
This is the fifth annual Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run, held at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. The amphitheater at the zoo is used as the start and finish area. Multiple course options are offered for on-site participants, and a virtual option is available for those who wish to take part remotely.
The event raises funds for the Valley Zoo Development Society. In the previous year, funds were used to adopt the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin and Goeldi's Monkey exhibits and to support the carnivore redevelopment project. For 2026 the event continues support for the Harbour Seals and works toward a larger commitment to the carnivore project. Fundraising progress listed is CA$295.55 raised toward a CA$3,000.00 goal.
Virtual participants may complete their selected distance between August 1 and September 13 and will receive the same custom finisher gift by mail. Packet pickup is available Saturday, September 12 at the South Edmonton Common Running Room and Sunday, September 13 at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. The event sponsor listed is Running Room.
