The Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run Event

This is the fifth annual edition of this run which raises funds for the Valley Zoo Development Society. The funds support adopting exhibits at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, such as the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin, and Goeldi's Monkey, and the carnivore project. The event takes place at the Edmonton Valley Zoo amphitheater, located at 13315 Buena Vista Road Northwest in Edmonton.

Available Distances

Several distances are offered:

2 km
5 km
10 km

A virtual option is also available. Participants can run 1 km, 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km between August 1 and September 13, 2026. All virtual participants receive a custom-designed finisher gift by mail. A Toddler Loop is also scheduled.

Practical Information

Packet pick up occurs on September 12 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Edmonton Common Running Room, and on September 13 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Edmonton Valley Zoo.
