Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run at Edmonton Valley Zoo

This is the fifth annual Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run, a fundraising event for the Valley Zoo Development Society. The run starts and finishes at the Edmonton Valley Zoo amphitheater. The organizers state the event continues support for the Harbour Seals and aims to increase commitment to the Carnivore project.

The event offers in person and virtual participation. Virtual entries can be completed between August 1 and September 13; virtual participants receive the same custom finisher gift by mail.

Previous fundraising helped adopt the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin and Goeldi's Monkey exhibits and supported redevelopment of Carnivore Alley. Adopting an exhibit provides funds for improved habitats and enrichment materials. The event lists Running Room as a sponsor and shows a fundraising goal of CA$3,000 with CA$535.26 raised so far.
