Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run
This is the fifth annual Friends and Zoey's Zoo Fun Run, a fundraising event for the Valley Zoo Development Society. In the previous year the event funded the adoption of the Harbour Seal, Golden Lion Tamarin and Goeldi's Monkey exhibits and supported the carnivore project. Adopting an exhibit provides funds for improved habitats and enrichment materials, and sponsoring the carnivore project supports redevelopment of Carnivore Alley. This year continues support for the Harbour Seals and works toward a larger commitment to the carnivore project.
The run starts and finishes in the Edmonton Valley Zoo amphitheater. Onsite distances offered include:
- 1 km
- 2 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
A virtual option is available and can be completed from August 1 to September 13. All virtual participants receive the same custom designed finisher gift by mail.
Packet pick up:
- Saturday, September 12, 12:00 to 15:00 at South Edmonton Common Running Room.
- Sunday, September 13, 12:30 to 13:00 at Edmonton Valley Zoo.
