5th Annual Friends 5K Run/Walk
The event is a 5K run/walk held on September 27, 2026 at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center campus in Newark, Delaware. It benefits the Friends of the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute. Proceeds will support bench-to-bedside cancer research and provide early-stage funding to accelerate translational cancer research.
Registration opens April 3, 2026 and closes September 26, 2026. The registration fee is $35.00. Free parking is available at the venue.
Family-focused activities are planned before and after the event and include face painting and a photo booth. A finish line table is provided by Platinum Dining Group, and postrace refreshments listed by the organizer include Gatorade, oranges and bananas, and granola bars. Water bottles of premium mountain spring water are supplied by the event water sponsor, David Yurman.
A team prize is offered for the largest team. The largest team will receive a tray of 50 empanadas provided by Empanalgas Cheeky Latin Soulfood. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
