Friends 5K Run/Walk
The Friends 5K Run/Walk is a charity 5K held on September 27, 2026 at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute campus in Newark, Delaware. The event benefits the Friends of the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute. Proceeds will support bench to bedside cancer research to help accelerate translational research and early stage funding for clinical trials.
This is the 5th annual edition. Registration opens April 3, 2026 and closes September 26, 2026. The listed registration fee is $35. Free parking is available. The event includes family activities before and after the run such as face painting and a photo booth, and provides water and snacks. Prizes are offered for the largest team; the largest team prize is an empanada party for 25 people provided by Empanalgas Cheeky Latin Soulfood.
