Event Overview
The Friday the 13K is an evening running event in Las Vegas, Nevada, held at Mountain Edge Regional Park. The event offers multiple distances: a 13K and a 6.5K, each with a "No Shirt" registration option, as well as a Virtual 13K.
Course & Logistics
The course is described as "fairly flat." The 13K route is a double loop out-and-back, while the 6.5K is a single out-and-back. The use of a headlamp or light is recommended. Chip timing is used at the start and finish. Water stations are available approximately every 1.5 miles.
Awards & Amenities
All finishers receive a custom medal. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as top finishers in masters (40+), grand masters (50+), senior masters (60+), and standard five-year age groups from 10 & under to 75+. Race shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by a specified date, after which they are available while supplies last.
Charity & Community
The event's charity partner is Ava's Avengers, an organization focused on building support networks to decrease socioeconomic burdens on families. Team participation is encouraged, with registration discounts offered for teams of five or more.
Registration & Policies
Packet pickup occurs on race day starting one hour before the event. All registrations are final, with no refunds, deferments, or transfers.
