Fresh Wave Long Beach - January 23, 2027
The Fresh Wave event on January 23, 2027 includes race options of 5k, 10k, 15k, and a Half Marathon along the Long Beach shoreline path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd in Belmont Shores, Long Beach, CA. The organizer is A Better World Running and the course follows the beach path with marked out-and-back loops on an open course; participants should be courteous to pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
Course formats and aid: the 5k is an out-and-back route; the 10k is two 5k loops; the 15k is three 5k loops; the Half Marathon is three 4.36 mile loops. An aid station at the turnaround near the start/finish supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. There is a 3 hour 15 minute time limit for the Half Marathon.
Registration and services: registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live results at finish, age group awards available for race pickup only, free photos tied to bib numbers, cinematic race highlight reels, assorted snacks and samples, and access to the A Better World Running app with race photos and videos. Race day registration lists fees as 5k $35, 10k $40, 15k $45, and Half Marathon $50. Group discounts for three or more are applied on Race Ascend. Transfers are allowed by contacting the organizer; there is a no refund policy. Residential parking is free; a paid beach lot uses the Passport Parking app zone 9372.
