Freedom Springs Triathlon
Freedom Springs Triathlon takes place on July 3, 2027 at Blue Springs Recreation Park, 5461 Blue Springs Road, Marianna, Florida. The event is organized as a sprint triathlon with individual, relay, and virtual options.
Distances:
- Individual Triathlon: 400 m swim, 10 mile bike, 5K run
- Relay Race (team of two or three): 0.25 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 5K run
- Virtual Triathlon: same sprint distances completed remotely
The swim occurs in spring water at 68 F and wetsuits are allowed. The bike course is a 10 mile out-and-back route. The run is 5K; it starts on a road and continues onto another road. Relay teams must register each member individually; if a team has two athletes both must register, and if a team has three athletes all three must register. Awards for relays are given to first place only in all male, all female, and mixed categories.
No race day registration is available for the in-person events. Virtual participants complete the distances on their own schedule, submit results, and receive a t-shirt, bib, and finisher medal by mail; shipping is within the United States only. Registration fees in the source material are $49 for individual, $39 for relay, and $49 for virtual entries, with registration opening and closing dates provided by the organizer.
