Freedom From Seizures 5K North
The Freedom From Seizures 5K North is an athletic event held at Glasgow Park in Newark, Delaware. This event supports the Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware (EFDE), an organization that has provided education, support services, and transportation programs to the local epilepsy community for over 60 years. Participants can choose to complete the distance individually or as part of a team.

The physical race in Newark utilizes chip timing for age group results, while the overall and masters winners are determined by gun time. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers, the top male and female masters, and the top three finishers in several age categories. These categories range from 9 and under to 70 and over.
The course at Glasgow Park follows a specific route for the 5K distance. For those attending in person, parking is available in the lots located near the basketball courts and the playground. Participants who complete their registration by May 6, 2026, receive a guaranteed event t-shirt. For those unable to attend the Newark location, the virtual registration option allows for remote participation and result submission.
