Freedom Run - America's Freedom Festival
The Freedom Run is an annual race held on July 4 in Provo, Utah, as part of America’s Freedom Festival. The event offers multiple distances and draws thousands of participants from the community.

Races start and finish at or near Kiwanis Park in Provo. Start locations vary by distance: the 5K begins at the corner of 800 N and 150 E, the 10K at Birch Avenue near the north end of Kiwanis Park, and the one mile starts inside Kiwanis Park.
Packet pickup is held the day before the race at the Provo Recreation Center; participants must show ID to receive their bib, which includes a timing chip, plus a race shirt and medal. Shirts and other goodies are distributed at packet pickup and are not guaranteed to be available after the event.
Course and race rules include chip timing built into bibs, runner positioning by bib number, a stroller start zone after runners, and a prohibition on bicycles and other wheeled devices except strollers. The 10K course has two on-course water stations near the 3-mile and 5-mile marks. Post-race refreshments and finisher medals are provided. Cash prizes are awarded to top three male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K ($300, $200, $100). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
