Freedom Fest 5k
Freedom Fest 5k is the third annual run held on July 4 at the Checotah Sports Complex, 989 N Broadway, Checotah, OK 74426. The event is part of a full day of Freedom Festival activities that conclude with fireworks in the evening. The 5K course is USATF certified. Race timing and awards are provided by I:40 Race Service. The event is hosted by the City of Checotah Parks and Recreation Department.
Registration opens on April 1 and closes June 26. Pre-registration fees through June 25 are $25 for the 5K and $20 for the Fun Run; registrations after June 25 and race day entries are $5 higher. T-shirts are provided to participants who sign up by June 25; registrations after that date receive shirts on a first-come, first-served basis. On-site registration will be handled at the complex pavilion on the north side of the venue.
