Freedom 5K - Newark, TX
The Freedom 5K is a new Independence Day running event on the campus of Eagle Mountain International Church in Newark, Texas. The event is presented in 2026 and lists MillionAire Heating, Air and Plumbing as a sponsor. The venue address is 14355 Morris Dido Newark Rd, Newark, TX 76071.

Registration fees vary by date and age category. For the Freedom 5K Run/Walk adults are listed at $25 before June 20, $30 from June 20 to July 3, and $35 on race day; youth fees (0–17) are $15 before June 20, $20 from June 20 to July 3, and $25 on race day. The 1 Mile event shows lower tiered fees with a similar deadline structure. A shirt guarantee deadline is June 25; shirts may be available after that on a first-come, first-served basis.
Early packet pickup is scheduled for June 28 in the EMIC lobby and July 3 under the EMIC portico. Race day packet pickup is available at the event site.
Event features include a custom finisher medal, a technical event shirt, free soft drinks and refreshments, free parking, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Awards for the 5K are three-deep across overall, masters, and detailed age groups: 12 & Under; 13–15; 16–18; 19–24; 25–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–64; 65–69; 70–74; 75–79; 80 & Over.
