Event Overview
The Freedom 250 5K is a running race held in Columbus, Georgia, to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States Army. The event takes place in the downtown area, utilizing a course that spans Uptown Columbus and the Riverwalk. Participants begin the race on Broadway near the intersection of 11th Street and Broadway, while the finish line is located on 11th Street near Momma Goldberg's.

Registration is open to the public with various fee tiers based on the date of entry. Participants who register by June 19 are guaranteed an event t-shirt. On the day of the event, the organizers provide snacks and refreshments for runners after they complete the course. Packet pickup is organized at Big Dog Fleet Feet on 12 W 11th Street on the day before the race and on the morning of the event.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female finishers in the Masters category. Recognition is also given to the top three military participants in both the male and female divisions. Furthermore, the event features age group awards for the first, second, and third place finishers in categories ranging from under 14 to 70 and above.
