Freedom 250 5K
Freedom 250 5K is a running event held in downtown Columbus on June 27, 2026, commemorating 250 years of America. The course runs through Uptown Columbus and along the Riverwalk with start activity on Broadway near the 11th Street intersection and a finish on 11th Street near Momma Goldbergs. The event features a single distance, 5K.
Registration pricing is tiered: $30 through April 30; $35 May 1 through June 17; $40 June 18 through June 26; and $45 on race day. A guaranteed event T-shirt is offered for participants registered by June 19 at 12 noon.
Awards are presented for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female. There are masters awards for male and female and age group awards for 1st through 3rd in the following groups: under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and above. Top three military finishers are recognized. Male and female divisions apply in all listed categories.
Packet pick up is available at Big Dog Fleet Feet, 12 W 11th Street, on the Friday before the event and the morning of the race. Post-race snacks and refreshments are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
