Freedom 250 5K - Celebrating 250 years of America
The Freedom 250 5K is a road running event on June 27, 2026, held in downtown Columbus, Georgia. The course runs through Uptown Columbus and the Riverwalk; the final course alignment is to be determined. The start area is on Broadway near the 11th Street and Broadway intersection and the finish is on 11th Street near Momma Goldbergs.
Registration opens March 16, 2026. Entry fees follow a date-based schedule: $30 through April 30, $35 from May 1 through June 17, $40 from June 18 through June 26, and $45 on race day June 27. To be guaranteed a T-shirt, participants must be registered by June 19 at 12:00 noon.
Packet pickup is available at Big Dog Fleet Feet, 12 W 11th Street, on Friday, June 26 from 12:00 to 18:00 and on Saturday, June 27 from 7:00 to 7:45.
Awards are given by gender for 1st through 3rd overall, Masters male and female, and age groups with 1st through 3rd places in categories under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and above. Top three military finishers for male and female are also recognized. Post-race snacks and refreshments are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
