Freakin' Hot 5K
The Freakin' Hot 5K is a chip timed 5 kilometer running event held on July 25, 2026 at Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St, Clearwater, FL 33756, United States. The event uses a wave start with corrals assigned by bib color; each corral is released about every 30 seconds. Staff will manage the start area with a rope and guide each corral to the start line. Chip start timing means an individual runner's time begins when they cross the start line.
Participants are asked to indicate an average pace or 5K time at registration for corral assignment. Walkers may register by listing themselves as walkers. The event package includes a Freakin' Hot 5K T shirt, a Freakin' Hot 5K sticker, a Freakin' Hot 5K finisher medal, and race photos that are free to download. Aid stations on course will include Super Soakers.
A post race party is planned and includes beer, cold drinks, and food items such as hot dogs with soft buns, rice and beans, and spaghetti. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes July 18, 2026. Entry fees are tiered: $30 for the first 200 entrants, $39 for the next 200, $44 for the next 200, and $49 for the next 500 entrants.
