Event Overview
The Frantic Finish 5K takes place at Olander Park in Sylvania, Ohio. The course consists of approximately three loops within the park. The start and finish line is located at the Nederhouser Community Hall, where a brief post-race club meeting is held. A post-race meal and refreshments are provided.
Race Format
The event uses a time-graded, staggered start format. Slower runners start first, with faster runners grouped by previous times starting later, aiming for all participants to finish around the same time. Each runner must provide their best 5K time from the previous two years (approximately May 2024 through May 2026). Those without a recent 5K time can convert a pace from any previous race using a standard race time conversion chart. A countdown clock begins at 48 minutes. There are no age group or sex division awards; it is designated as a fun run.
Registration and Fees
Registration must be completed online via RunSignup. No in-person registrations, cash, or checks are accepted on the evening of the race. The standard entry fee is $18.00. Members of the Toledo Roadrunners Club (TRRC) pay a reduced fee of $12.00. An additional $2.00 discount per participant is available for families of three or more. These discounts are applied during the online payment process. Requests to pay by check must be made to the race director at least ten days before the event.
