Event Overview

The Frank McNamara Spring Cross-Country Series is a weekly five-race series held on Wednesday evenings in Edmonton, Alberta. The series showcases Edmonton's river valley trail network, which includes over 160 kilometers of maintained multi-use paths.

Race Locations

Each race takes place at a different park within the city. The scheduled locations and dates are as follows:

  • Race #1: Dawson Park on April 15, 2026
  • Race #2: Rundle Park on April 22, 2026
  • Race #3: Dawson Park again on April 29, 2026
  • Race #4: Millcreek Ravine on May 6, 2026
  • Race #5: Goldbar Park on May 13, 2026

Registration and Timing

Participants can register for individual races or for the full series. A discount is offered for full series registrations completed before February 20, 2026. Each race uses a mass start. Timing is provided using a ChronoTrack B-tag system, and runners are responsible for bringing their assigned tag to every race.

In the event of cancellation, refunds or credits will not be issued. Registered athletes unable to attend the spring series may have the option to roll their registration over to a fall series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
