Fox's Hourglass Ultra

Fox Hourglass Ultra

Fox Hourglass Ultra is a backyard-ultra style event held in Suamico, Wisconsin. The race uses a repeated marked loop measuring 4.167 miles that participants must complete and return to the starting corral within each hourly interval in order to continue. The event runs until only one runner remains or until a maximum duration of 24 hours is reached. If multiple participants remain at the completion of the 24th hour, the winner is the person who completes the final loop first.

Participants must be present in the starting corral at the initial start or they are disqualified and recorded as Did Not Finish (DNF). Failure to start or to complete any hourly loop within the allotted hour also results in a DNF. The total field is limited to 40 participants. Registration opens on January 1, 2027 and closes on October 9, 2027; the published registration fee is $145.00.

Course details are listed as coming soon. Event weekend includes packet pickup on the Friday evening before the race and additional packet pickup and base camp setup on the morning of race day, with an event briefing for participants prior to the first loop. An award ceremony is scheduled for Sunday morning; the last loop may occur earlier if only one runner remains before the full 24-hour period.
