Event Overview
The Founders Day Fun Run takes place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. The event includes a 5k Run, a 1mi Kids Run, and a Pickle Ball Charity Challenge. All events start and are based at Buddy Campbell City Park.
Course Details
The 5k route is an out-and-back course that starts at Buddy Campbell Park and follows Maughan Road. The road features gentle rolling hills and curves. The turn-around point is at the intersection of Maughan Road and Merrick Road, marked with a sign and flags.
A shorter 1 mile course is also available. The Pickle Ball Charity Challenge utilizes six courts located at Buddy Campbell Park, with a backup indoor facility planned for inclement weather.
Registration and Proceeds
Registration is available on the day of the event. All proceeds from the event benefit the Greater Lava Hot Springs Prosperity Foundation. The foundation supports projects focused on arts, culture, and community in the region, including music scholarship programs for local youth.
