A special "Blindfold Challenge" lets two-person teams run the 5K with one teammate blindfolded and the other acting as a sighted guide. Blindfolds and tethers are provided and each teammate must register separately. A "Sleep-in for Sight" option sends a race shirt by mail.
All participants receive a custom finisher medal and a Dri-Fit tech t-shirt (a no-shirt option reduces the fee by $5). The 5K awards the top three finishers in each age group; age groups run from 10 & Under up to 70 & Over. The event is chip timed with real-time results and photos available via the race results platform or mobile app. Course maps are provided for both distances.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Sole Sports in Scottsdale and on race morning at Arizona Boardwalk. Race-day registration is available at the race location. Wheelchairs, strollers and wagons are welcome. Roller blades, bicycles, skateboards and motorized devices are not allowed on the courses. The event is pet and walker friendly with leashed pets permitted. There is no bag check, and no refunds are issued for weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
