Event overview

The Foundation for Blind Children Stride For Sight 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Arizona Boardwalk, 9500 East Vía de Ventura, Scottsdale, AZ. The event supports the Foundation for Blind Children and brings blind and sighted participants together in the same race. The program includes a chip-timed 5K and a relaxed 1-mile walk. Results and race photos are provided online and via a mobile app.

The event offers a Blindfold Challenge for two-person teams. Each teammate must register separately. Blindfolds and tethers are provided. Teams may run the full route blindfolded, alternate roles, or have one member act as the sighted guide.

Registration is tiered; early and later entry fees are listed, and a "Sleep-in for Sight" option is available. Race day registration is also offered at a set fee. Mail-in registrations are accepted through February 23, 2026. Packet pickup is available the day before at Sole Sports in Scottsdale and at the race location on race day.

All race-day finishers receive a custom finisher medal and a Dri-Fit tech T-shirt (option to decline the shirt for a reduced fee). Male and female age-group awards are given to the top three in each age group for the 5K. Wheelchairs, strollers, wagons, and leashed pets are permitted; bicycles and skates are not.
