Fostering 5K
The Fostering 5K takes place on 11/07/2026 at the East Side Elementary parking lot, 711 Fort Worth Street, Jacksonville, TX 75766. Proceeds from the event support The Fostering Collective and are intended to strengthen and support foster, adoptive, and kinship families in the area by providing resources, advocacy, and support for children in foster care.
The event program includes the following distances:
- 3.1 Miles
- 0.2 Miles
- 3.1 Miles
There are three event options: a 5K Run/Walk, a Kids Dash, and a "Sleep In" donation option that does not enter participants into the race. The published registration fees are $25.00 for the 5K, $0.00 for the Kids Dash, and $25.00 for the "Sleep In" donation option. Registration opens on 7/7/2026; registration for the 5K closes on 10/7/2026, and registration for the Kids Dash and the "Sleep In" option closes on 11/07/2026.
The "Sleep In" option provides an event t-shirt in exchange for a donation. T-shirts must be collected at one of the packet pickup options; shirts will not be mailed or held. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
