Event details
The Forth Ultra and Team Relay takes place on Saturday 25 April 2026 with the start and finish at Helix Park, Falkirk. The course is a circular ultramarathon of 44 miles / 71 km with total ascent and descent of 1,739 ft and an overall time limit of 11 hours. Entry options include solo runners, pairs (relay), and teams of four; teams are self-driven between stages. The route is waymarked, so navigation is not required.
Course and stages
The route follows coastal and inland paths around the Firth of Forth, crossing the Forth Road Bridge and linking the Fife Coastal Path and the John Muir Way. Terrain is mixed: approximately 85% road and 15% trail. Teams and pairs may join their final runner for the last 500 m lap of the Helix Great Lawn.

- Stage 3 - 10.28 miles / 16.55 km
- Stage 4 - 9.76 miles / 15.70 km
A mandatory cut-off applies at the end of stage 2: participants must reach checkpoint 2 within 6 hours to continue.
Logistics and facilities
There are three checkpoints plus the finish, each with water and snack stations; cola is available at checkpoints 2 and 3. Finish provisions include a finisher medal, race t-shirt, and catering at the finish. Solo runners must carry mandatory kit and all runners must carry a fully charged mobile phone. Race rules include single-chip timing for teams, a one-vehicle-per-team policy, and adherence to highway rules and organiser instructions.
