Dirty Spokes Fort Yargo Cannonball Run at Fort Yargo State Park
The organizer presents a trail running event at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia on December 5, 2026. The venue for registration and the start and finish is Entrance B, with the start/finish area located by the lake at the pavilion next to the UGA Boat House. The park address is 210 South Broad Street, Winder GA 30680.
Distances offered:
- 8.50 miles - counter clockwise course
- 3.10 miles - clockwise course
The longer course alternates between smooth running sections and more technical singletrack with rocks and roots. The shorter course is described as very easy to navigate with minimal roots and rocks. GPS measures for the courses differ slightly from bicycle wheel calibrated measurements; organizers note that GPS may not capture every twist and turn in the woods.
Entry fees vary by distance and registration date. Early, late, and race day price tiers are specified for each distance. The event will use a tri blend shirt for 2026 entries with no guarantee of a shirt for late or race day registration. The organizer will donate money to the Yargo Trail Crew for trail setup and maintenance.
Medals and prizes are planned for overall top three male and female finishers in each race and for top three male and female finishers in specified age groups. Finishers must be present to receive medals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
