About the race
The Forster Club Triathlon is organised with multiple grade distances for swim, cycle and run, held at Forster Keys on Elizabeth Parade. Distances are separated by grade:
- A-D grade: 400m swim, 15km ride, 4km run
- E grade: 300m swim, 12km ride, 3km run
- F grade: 200m swim, 9km ride, 2km run
Swim courses start and finish south of the boat ramp on Elizabeth Parade for A-D and F grades. E grade swimmers start and finish at the middle marker. All competitors swim south; F grade turns at the middle marker and returns to the start/finish, while A-D and E grades swim to the far buoy and return to the start/finish.
The cycle course departs transition heading north towards Elouera Crescent, staying on the left side of the road. Riders continue down Elizabeth Parade to the southern turnaround, follow the loop on the left and return to transition to complete one lap. Lap counts are: five laps equals 15km, four laps equals 12km, three laps equals 9km.
The run leaves transition with a left turn around a marked tree, proceeds south on the grass to a turnaround by the bank, and returns on the roadside to transition. Each run lap measures 1km. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
