About the race
The Forster Club Aquathlon is held at Forster Ocean Baths (Bullring) and combines short open-water swims with on-road and park running laps.
Distances offered:
- 200 m swim with 2 km run x2 laps
- 100 m swim with 1 km run x2 laps
Swim course: start on the left hand side of the bullring and swim to the buoy in the far left corner. For the 100 m swim, turn around that buoy and return to the start for an out-and-back. For the 200 m swim, follow the perimeter of the bullring keeping the buoys on the right shoulder, then return to the start at the last buoy, producing a P-shaped route.
Run course: leave the baths and head up the hill on North Street to the track that leads to Pebbly Park. The short course run requires a turnaround at the tap just before the playground. The long course run requires a turnaround at the large three rocks. The event uses local landmarks and fixed turnaround points to define each lap on the run and swim courses.
