Event Overview
The Forrest Run is a community-focused athletic event held at the UW-Eau Claire at Barron County campus in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. This event serves as a fundraiser for brain cancer research and provides support to families affected by the disease. The run is organized by the local Rice Lake FBLA chapter and is held in memory of Forrest Olson.
The event features two primary participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Youth Fun Run
The race takes place at 1800 College Drive and is open to individual participants, friends, and families. The facility grounds provide the backdrop for the course, and the event includes additional amenities for those in attendance. Participants can expect music, snacks, and drinks on-site. Medals are awarded to the winners of the races.
The gathering emphasizes a charitable cause while offering a structured environment for running and walking. Pricing for the different distances is tiered based on the registration date, with early-bird options available for those who sign up in advance. Fundraising leaderboards are also maintained to track contributions toward brain cancer initiatives. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
