Event overview
The Forest Park Runners Classic is a 4-mile road and trail run held on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in Forest Park, Queens, New York. The course is a 4-mile out-and-back loop that runs through and around the park’s trails and roads, with the start and finish on the Victory Field track at the corner of Woodhaven Boulevard and Myrtle Avenue. Race timing uses MyLaps chips and timing mats with split times at each mile. An overhead finish clock is provided and results are posted onsite and online. Water is available on the course. Post-race refreshments include bagels, apples, bananas, Gatorade, and water.
Registration, logistics and awards
Online registration is priced at $40 until May 23 and increases to $50 thereafter; day-of registration is available at the track for $50. The field is limited to 500 entrants. Day-of race services such as bib pick-up, baggage check, and late registration are held at Victory Field; parking is available at the Forest Park Bandshell and on nearby streets. Custom technical T-shirts are guaranteed to pre-registrants; day-of entrants may receive shirts while supplies last. Custom medals are awarded to four-mile finishers. Cash awards and trophies are given to the top three overall male and female finishers ($100, $75, $50) and age-group trophies are awarded to the top three in each listed M/F age group.
