About the race
Set in the Forest of Dean, the Spring Trails Half Marathon is a multi-terrain trail race organized by the Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean, with Forestry Commission support. The route begins on the road adjacent to the Speech House Hotel, then winds through well-maintained forest trails with gentle inclines, returning to the Speech House for the finish. The measured half marathon covers 13 miles 192.5 yards.
Proceeds support charities. The event doubles as the British Trail Running Championships—Short Distance and a qualifier under England Athletics’ Masters program. Expect marshals, lead cyclists, water stations, and full course signposting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
