For Life 5K
The For Life 5K is a timed running and walking event taking place on April 18, 2026. It is the fourth annual edition of the event and takes place at Mike Lewis Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. It is organized as a fundraiser for the Pregnancy Resource Center of Grand Prairie, a non-profit organization.
The event offers two participation options:
- 5K (in-person)
- 5K (Virtual)
The course is described as flat. Participation is open to runners, walkers, and those using strollers or wheelchairs, who are asked to start at the back. The event includes a bag check facility and free parking.
Awards are given to the male and female overall winners, as well as to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups from 10-19 to 70 and over. There will be local vendors present.
Packet pickup is available in advance at a location in Grand Prairie on the Thursday before the event, and on race day at Mike Lewis Park. A race T-shirt is included, with a size deadline of April 1. The event has a strict no-refund policy but offers a virtual option if the in-person event is canceled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
