For God and Country
For God and Country is a community event held on the grounds of John Paul the Great Montessori Academy in Front Royal, Virginia. The event uses school property and surrounding fields and pine trees for trail running and family activities.
Offered distances
- 2 Miles obstacle course trail run with water, mud, climbing, and crawling
- 2 Miles trail run without obstacles
- 1 Mile Little Patriots obstacle course for children
The 2 mile obstacle course is presented with two heats: a competitive heat for runners planning to take every obstacle and a second heat for participants who may skip obstacles. The Little Patriots run is organized for young children and a Patriots Playground area offers games, face painting, crafts, and moon bounce for ages 1 to 9.
Entry fees are listed for each event and there are higher day of fees for some items. T shirts are available for purchase with different pricing before and on the day of the event. Awards include overall medals and prizes for 1st through 3rd male and female in each race, plus age group medals for top finishers across multiple age categories from children to 50 plus.
Proceeds benefit the academy s upper school and mission trip to Kentucky, and ten percent of proceeds are designated for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
